Faculty: Peter Zilahy

Peter Zilahy is a Hungarian poet and novelist, the author of four books, among them The Last Window Giraffe, which has won the Book of The Year Prize in the Ukraine and is often cited as one of the inspirations for the Orange Revolution. Zilahy is a versatile artist who has performed on stages for large audiences from New York’s Broadway to Moscow’s New Tretyakov. He has written opinion pieces for The New York Times, The Guardian, The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and the Financial Times, among others. Peter Zilahy`s work has been translated into 30 languages. He has been writer-in-residence at Tufts University and taught at the NYU Creative Writing Program. He has also given lectures at Princeton, The New School, The Tisch School of the Arts, Melbourne University and at Cambridge University (UK). Presently, he is a returning fellow at the Kluge Center of the Library of Congress.
